Head of Programmes ? Men? - Psychologist Appointments ...

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours (the nature of the organisation may require working outside of normal weekly hours).

The Men?s Service is part of St Andrew?s Healthcare, Northampton and provides recovery focussed interventions for 275 Service Users with complex needs in medium, low secure, locked and open settings. 115 of the beds opened in 2010 and are provided in a purpose built medium secure hospital, William Wake House. The Charity is continuing with its plans to further develop our bespoke services and buildings to better meet the needs of our Service Users. We are committed to furthering rehabilitation and recovery through a multi-disciplinary team approach.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Consultant Psychologist to ensure the provision of high quality psychology services to Service Users and lead the service in the development of comprehensive treatment programmes. You will work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service and to ensure the provision of high quality therapy services. You will be expected to carry a clinical caseload, which is commensurate with this level of post.

You will manage a team of people and you will need to ensure that they are working effectively to meet the needs of our Service Users and receiving clinical and professional supervision as well as supporting all psychology staff through professional appraisal, and the identification of CPD needs.

A positive, person centred approach towards working with this client group are essential, together with enthusiasm, initiative, strong team working skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience of working in a secure environment is essential.

* Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology equivalent.
* Clinical or Forensic Psychologist.
* Evidence of CPD as recommended by BPS.
